The light, refreshing character of our award-winning golden ale is distinguished by its subtle elderflower aroma, reminiscent of a summer’s evening. Champion is particularly rewarding when served chilled. On a balmy evening in Stanpit Marsh, a cool breeze blows and a calm encompasses the vast reserve. Amongst the wild horses, you may see Golden Champion, a headstrong but loyal stallion who enjoys the warm days grazing in th fields. The subtle elderflower aromas of this delicately floral brew are reminiscent of a summer’s evening. This divine all-rounder is a great companion for smoky, chargrilled chicken and peppery rocket salad.

Bottle: Poured a clear bright golden color ale with a large foamy head with some retention and minimal lacing. Aroma consists of light zesty fruit with a semi-sweet malt base. Taste is also a nice enough mix between some zesty fruit ester with semi-sweet malt backbone and subtle floral undertones. Body is about average as well as carbonation. Not bad though not something I am likely to buy again.

Bottle. Pours a clear, orange-gold with a light, white head. Strong tangerine and orange citrus nose. Quite sweet, with honey and citrus, and only faint hints of bitterness. Medium in body with massaging, tingly carbonation. The finish holds yet more citrus, with some sugary notes and light hops. Very nice. Exceptionally fruity.

Bottle. Amber pour with a white head. Heavy fruity-sweet aroma- strawberries, apple pie, damsons, peaches- that kind of caper. Fruity, sweet flavours. Hoppy, fruit-laden finish.

Pours amber with a lasting creamy head.Nose shows some light summer fruits, I would have guessed gooseberry and elderflower if I hadn’t read the label. Quite tangy. Unfortunately there’s also some grainy malt. Some of the elderflower transfers through as a flavour late in the piece, but before that there’s more weak, slightly grainy malt. Absolutely no bitterness.Good moderately high carbonation suits the flavours well and dries out the finish a little.

Bottle at KØ10. Soapy aroma. Clear shiny golden colour. Very small white head. The flavour is also a bit soapy. Fruity and a little strange.
