A light brown with lots of yeast, a head is blond and very big. Aroma has wheat and fruitness, some ryebread and chocolate. Taste has same elements that are in the aroma, interesting mix of bread, chocolate, sourness and slightly fruitness of bananas. Medium bodied, strong carbonation. There are heavier chocolatebread but still refreshning as hefes have to be. Interesting and quite unique. Good brew.

50cl bottle from Alko. Poured deep Cloudy amber, thick off white head. Wheaty, spicy fruity aroma, clove and ripe banana. Slightly peppery in flavor, ripe banana. Musty, balanced, refreshing hefeweizen. Very good.

50 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ the Marqt supermarket, Den Haag. Cloudy amber with a thick off-white head. Malty banana aroma. Taste is a bit odd, like water that has been too long in a plastic bottle. Weird aftertaste also. I don’t discount the fact that I had a bad bottle but for now this is not a weizen I like.

Appearance: Cloudy dark golden color with a thick white head that leaves a fine lacing.
Aroma: Wheat, toffee and banana.
Palate: Medium + body. Tad sweet and an ok bitterness. Average to rich carbonation.
Taste: Mild balanced wheat, mild fruity, toffee and balanced banana.
Overall impression: Nice refreshing and tasty hefe. A mix between helles weisse and dunkel weisse.

Bottled@PbF VIII. Hazy golden colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is wheat, berries, citrus and some wooden notes. Flavour is sweet wheat, floral and fruity notes. Actually, for being an Ur-Weizen this feels quite fresh and innovative for being German.

Aroma has toffee and ripe bananas (the nth time I wrote this, enough weizens already?). Flavour has ripe bananas, some toffee and strong yeasty notes. A hefeweizen? A dunkelweizen I’d call this one.

Pours dark orange with a large foamy head. Malty, wheaty and slightly tartish aroma with some earthy notes. Taste is smooth, wheaty and slightly earthy with hints of fruity yeastiness. Finish is yeasty and smooth. Okay.
