Red is made with French Barbe-Rouge (Red Beard) hops, which give the beer the subtle taste of red berries such as strawberry & cherry. The colour comes from our use of amber malt and roast barley, giving it a red hue along with a gentle biscuity, roasted flavour.

27/6/2020. Bottle from Beer Cockermouth (beergb.com), and shared with the SHIG at the Cumbrian 20 bottle share. Pours clear amber bronze with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma of malt, hops, fruit, berries and toffee. Moderate sweetness, bitterness and body. Soft carbonation. Lasting subtle berry finish. Bit watery but still enjoyable.
