Mr Bees Best Bee-R is made using the highest quality ingredients, much of which comes direct from Suffolk. We make it with the finest Suffolk Pale and Crystal Malted Barley. This this gives the beer a very nice toffee-like flavour. We also add Torrified Wheat which enhances the sweet rich flavours. We use the classic English Goldings hop - which is a very versatile hop. The Goldings hop allows gentle bitterness and also finishes the beer with very nice floral, slightly spicy and earthy aromas. We lastly add a ‘touch’ of honey direct from our own Suffolk beehives, which we feel gives the beer a lift and a smooth taste.

20/2/2021. Bottle shared at the third Ipswich Lockdown 3.0 virtual bottle share. Suffolk vs Norfolk. From the brewery direct. Pours pale amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, honey, touch of spicy hops, light earthy notes. Moderate body, oily watery texture, average carbonation. Easy drinking sessionable bitter.

Ty Grumbo. This is nice English style bitter beer: fruity, malty, some citrus notes, caramel, hell maybe even some honey. Nice mellow carbonation. Unfortunately there is also some dirty yeasty notes, without them this would get really good score. 3.4
