500ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - cheers Graham!]. Jet black colour with small to average, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Roasty dark malty and sweet-ish, honey aroma, hints of chocolate, dark chocolate, some honey. Taste is dry, slightly bitter, roasty dark malty, minmally floral, bitter hoppy, notes of dark chocolate, Belgian chocolate, subtle hints of honey, a minimally dry, oaty touch as well. Creamy-watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally repellent-metallic palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Quite dry, the honey is widely co-fermented and adds, if any, then only very subtle sweetness - nice.

30/11/2018. Cask handpull at the Dove Winter Beer Festival, Ipswich. Pours very dark brown with a small off-white to beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, hops, dark fruit and a hint of liquorice and nut. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, slight slick texture, soft carbonation. Dry, roasted finish. Quite traditional easy drinking stout. Decent brew.
