Bottle from the Northumberland Beer Box. Malty aroma with coffee and dark berries. Boozy vanilla and liquorice on the edge. Dark and inky. Tan beige head. Initial sweetish malts promptly followed by heavy bitterness. Sour edge. Molasses in the finish. Black coffee, liqourice, quinine. Medium bodied. Creamy. Flat carbonation. Long astringent finish. Ends up being one noted. Other than the the odd glance away it's tunnell vision bitterness.

Aroma of chocolate, toffee, nut, roasted malt, dark fruit and liquorice. Medium sweetness and moderate roasted bitterness with a slightly creamy texture. Good brewery this.
