8/2/2020. From cask at the Great British Winter Beer Festival, Birmingham. Pours clear golden amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of hops, flowers, malt and fruit. Medium plus sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily sticky texture, average to soft carbonation. Alcohol kick to finish. Another one I’ve enjoyed from Wessex.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol, April 2015. Near black with a decent, beige, head. Chocolate, roasted malts, a touch of fruity sweetness, leading to a dryish finish. Good.
