Golden amber, very spicy aroma w toffee, and an almost smoked nut finish. Strange brew. I wasn’t sure the nut til Sun said hazelnut, and she was right.

Bottle 500ml (AbM)
My first one from this brewery. Clear amber color, good off-white head, lace. Interesting, says "citrus aroma", this citrus is almost coffeish for my nose. Also light barnyard notes. Light-bodied. Citrus, herbs, caramel, kind of tacky flavor. Woody notes. Not infected or something but feels like something is not right here.

Bottled (from AbM). Amber colour mediumsized fluffy head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is big time toasted notes and a huge amount of crystal maltiness. Flavour is crystal malts, some slight herbal and grassy bitterness along with a slight toasted edge to it. This was a rather alternative take on a bitter...

500ml bottle. Clear bronze colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally strawy aroma, a touch of milk chocolate, fruity hints of red berries, some citrusy hop. Taste is minimally sweet caramel malty, a touch of nougat, citrusy hoppy overtones; bitter hoppy, minimally chalky finish.

Cask @ Diggers, Edinburgh [030813]
Amber, clear, frothy dense head, good lacing...good appereance helped by the Aitken fount
Aroma of citrus hops, soft grapefruit and lemon hops, soft sweet fruity citrus malt
Taste as aroma, nice mellow sweet fruity caramel malt and soft citrus hop
Palate - Medium body, bit oily. Finish as main flavour, fairly sweet palate, soft bitter finish
Overall - Decent stuff - it’s a hybrid bitter / golden ale..very good condition which helped bump up the score

50cl bottle from Scottish friends. Thin white head. Clear amber pour. Nice and quaffable. I think it’s a bitter but it doesn’t say so, so feel free to correct me.
