Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers! Aroma of dark fruits, ash, coffee, chocolate and honeycomb. Taste is ashy chocolate and fruit. A bit watery bit still very pleasant.

Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Dark brown pour with a beige head, nice consistency. Coffee is the most notable aroma, dark malts, cocoa dusting, wood also. Taste of dark malts comes through more than the hints of coffee and chocolate although still there. Finish has a reasonable bitterness and has notes of blackcurrant, wood and spice. Body is light and points its nose towards session beer - however flavours are too rich for this and it needs a better body to support it. Nonetheless it's a decent beer.

A really nice and tasty porter at this alcohol level Black pour with a fine tan head. Good lacing Ok intensity in the aroma Fine body and a pleasant carbonation level Dark malt, chocolate, roast and coffee in the flavor [Bottle at Kokkekollektivet in Halden, Norway]

Bottle at home. Pours a dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate truffles, heather, bread crust, nuts, coffee and leather. Flavour of nuts, leather, ash, coffee and dark bread. Has a light and slightly silky mouthfeel, light body and soft bitterness. Roasted and nice.

Klar mørk brun med tynt beige skum. Lukter sjokolade og røstet malt. Mere kaffe i smaken.

Ultramørkebrun med et lite rødskjær. Lavt tett skum med litt farge. Litt lacing. Aroma av mørk frukt & lakris. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken lakris med hint av kaffe. Lett tørr avslutning. Veldig bra ut fra styrken.

Cask: Poured a deep dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is malty, light fruits. Taste is malty, rich, subtle chocolate.
