On tap at Le Saint-Bock, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out gently roasted coffee with a touch of graham cracker, and I can't shake a black pepper note I get. Flavour is much the same β€” there's undeniably that black pepper character, along with tempered with gently roasted coffee. Not sure I can detect the graham cracker. Thick palate, but it's not that complex or layered. Not bad, but didn't quite live up to what I hoped for.

Dark brown colour with copper highlights. A nice creamy light-mocha coloured head, good retention and leaving a good creamy film on the glass. Chocolate malt nose at first, with some dark fruits, mild molasses, coming out with time. Biscuit aromas between the Graham crackers and malt. The taste has the roasted malts giving molasses and dark fruit notes. The mouthfeel is warming with the alcohol, blended with the hop dry finish. The coffee balances the bitterness. A decent Imperial IPA, but still trying to get the crackers in the taste, and more in the nose.
