A smoked abbey ale. It was intended as an imperial stout, but due to the use of 15% smoked malt, came out as another beer. Dry hopping applied.

Unclear mahogany with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and dark fruits. Sweet flavor with roasted malt, dark fruits, hops and caramel. Finished dry and roasted.

Bottled. A murky brown beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes yeast, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of yeast, malt, caramel, and a bit of smoke, leaidng to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

30 cL bottle, courtesy of bierkoning. Pours hazy dark brown to murky with a small tan head. Aroma is fruity and slight phenolic yeasty. Sweet caramelish, slight smoked and fruity. Sweet and caramelish lingering into a medium dry finish.

Bottle 30 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy, opaque almost muddy orangey brown with a dense beige head. Sweet hard roasted malt with some smoky touches. Solid body, very sweet roast and dried fruit - again a whiff of smoke. Roasty finish. 121010
