500ml bottle from the lcbo. Lcbo lab claims it 7.9%.
Gorgeous pour, orange amber, with a great offwhite bubbly almost cask like head. Aroma is very bready, lots of caramel malts, cereals, and some nuts. A thick dose of goldings, with some very warming alcohol. Light carbonation, a very full mouthfeel. Medium bitter finish with a tad bit boozy bite. This would benefit from some age, let the booziness mellow, but its pretty damn tasty it is.

Bottle from Systembolaget, bought in 2011. (BB Dec 2013) A bit hazy copper with a medium head. Fairly vinous aroma of dried fruit, caramel and malt. Similar taste. Also notes of port wine. Old but still drinkable. An ok one.

A lightly hazed reddish copper ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, nice sweet vinous malt with treacle, surranated hops, dark fruits, plums, licorice, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with light grassy hops, faint oxidized notes, treacle, light grassy hops, resinous character, plums and figs, well done. Bottle Bb Dec 2013.

Pours a clear somewhat coppery color, topped with a medium white head. Malty aroma, some spices in there and some alcohol notes. Malty taste, there’s some caramel present, some roasty feel and some alcohol to give it that strong feel (not completely nice though). Not bad really, but not that good either.

bottle, courtesy of pivnizub. Copper-brown colour, mid-sized off-white head. Malty and pleasantly hoppy with a resiny character. Hints of raisins and nuts. Delicious strong ale.

Bottle shared by Cuso, thank you! Lightly hazy deep amber colour. Aroma shows strong alcohol, some maltiness. Taste is quite plain, malty, caramel, raisins. Full body, nicely drinkable. Good beer.
