(bottle conditioned, with special thanks to Quack-Duck) Clear, opague-coloured hue with a beige and huge foamy head. Roasty malty and slightly yeasty aroma with notes of cacao, caramel and a touch of liquorice, accompanied by slightly flowery and berry-fruity notes. Moderately burnt bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a present carbonation. Roasty malty and subtle fruity taste with distinctive notes of chocolate; dry-ish slightly sweet and moderately roasty bitter finish with fruity notes and a lasting aftertaste with pronounced chocolate flavours. A very pleasant and well-rounded Stout. 16.IX.10

Bottle Conditioned (thanks to the craziest bartender in the world!). Deep brownish black colour with mediumsized beigeish brown head, some lace. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, some mild yeast, toffee and sweet malts. Flavour quite much the same, but the roasted notes are more evident. As is the caramellyness. BBE had already been, but this has kept very well. Smooth carbonation.

On cask at the Hatch End branch of Wโspoons 21/2/09. Dark brown in colour with a good lasting head. Chocolate and malt flavours are clearly evident. A very drinkable stout indeed and rather hard to find on cask in London.
