Bottle 0,33 at Klein Duimpje, Hillegom: Dark brown colored brew with nicely dry bitter taste with hints of roasted malts and some caramel.

Malty pear aroma and flavor. Just a hint of sourness and a touch of toasty bitterness. Rather flat and below average abbey dubbel, although the aroma is nice.

Bottled (as Dubbel on label, and referred to as Hillegomse Dubbel in the commercial description, also 7.5 %, same GTIN as this listing of Hilleghemse Dubbel). Hazy brown colour, huge beige head (actually a very lively bottle for being Klein Duimpje, so beware). Aroma is caramel, some toffee, mild roasted notes along with some alcohol and sweet nutty notes. Flavour i ssweet malts, toffee, some alcohol, mild alcohol and some yeastiness (mild spices). Actually quite tasty and nice (after the slight gushing that occurred and was a slight piss off).

Backlog. Tap @ Botermarkt Bierfest 2003. Brown color. Aroma’s: malty sweet, caramel, fruity. Flavor is medium sweet. Medium bodied. No new flavors in the finish. Perhaps a bit (too) young.

bij het openen van het flesje kwam het bier als een fontein omhoog ! wat er overbleef was rood/bruin met schuimig witte kraag aroma: hout, zoet, chocolade, caramout smaken: medium zoet, matig bitter, matige gemout, hout, metaa, karamel, ietwat banaan, licht zurig --- Beer merged from original tick of Hillegomse Dubbel on 23 May 2018 at 13:45 - Score: 6

Clear dark brown beer. Soft palate. Aged tasting malt with some traces of chocolate and toffee. Finishes soft and a bit dry with repressed fruit and minerals. Interesting.

33 cL bottle, gusher. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and yeasty. Sweet caramelish, overripe fruits and yeasty/phenolic from back of the nose. Smooth caramelish sweet into an overripe fruity finish. Light phenolic and alcohol warmth.

Clear light red / dark orange color, average off-white head. Smell malts, caramel, yeast and something I don’t like but don’t know what it is. Decent taste, good carbo and body.

Mild malziger Antrunk mit herber Nuance. Weiterhin mild, das eher mittelstarke Malz ist bis in den Abgang der stärkste Ton. Wenig würzig, der Hopfen hält sich zurück, ebenso der anfänglich noch zu erkennende herbe Ton. Im Abgang würziger, hopfig-malzig, leicht schokoladig und torfig. Ein eher langweiliges da sehr fades Dubbel. 10/7/8/8/6/8
