This beer is golden, with a fine and dense foam. Its rich and fruity aromas offer a good balance between malt and yeast. It is soft on the palate with a sweet bitterness, just persistent.

75 cL bottle, BB 4/25/07 (oops). Bready, lightly spicy aroma. Hazy orange tinged golden color with small bits and small bubbles. My pour was nothing like the picture, but being 8 months overdate may account for it. The white head was enthusiastic, but left rapidly. Medium bodied with creamy, slightly fizzy, carbonation. There’s biscuit, some heat down the sides of the throat, something of lush ripe stone fruit in a dry way, light spice, very smooth in the mouth. The finish is more dry than not, with something like citrus lurking around the edges. I could drink this indefinitely.

Bottled (BB 06/2008)
Copper brown color, small creamy white head, lace. Vinegar in the nose with dark fruits and hazelnuts. Crisp carbonation. Not very complex flavor, basicly same elements than in the aroma: nuts, candy sugar, sourish notes. Sweetish aftertaste fades away quickly. Not really interesting blonde.

Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized fluffy head, which disappears fast. aroma is honey, peanuts, some sour fruit and yeast. Flavour is burnt sugar, yeast, slight honey and a bit metallic notes. The metallicness is not that disturbing. Good beer to have to sip on.

(Bottle at Taverne St Germain, Paris, 16 Oct) Golden yellow colour with amber notes, very lively, frothy, white head. Fruity and spicy nose with apricots, mandarin and a hint of yeast. Fruity taste with apricots, mandarin and pineapple. Notes of yeast in the spicy, rather dry finish. Very nice balance.

Best before Dec ’05. Pours medium gold into a tulip. Bright white micro/congomerate head leaves lacing as it recedes. Bread, hay, caramel and honey aromas. Creamy caramel with a sweet honey finish. Almost cloying, but as it is just short -- and dry -- it is nontheless enjoyable.

This is light in flavor, aroma, palate, and appearance. The aroma does have hints of fruit and the lightest trace of barnyard weirdness but there is not enough of either even though what is there isn’t bad. Light fruit and malt in the flavor. Light on the palate as well. Fairly well carbonated, with a corked that shot off the bottle and lots of bubbles and help in forming the thick white head.
