Pours a very nice slightly hazy gold from a bottle, thick pillowy white head. Immediate bloom of banana upon pouring, cloves as well. Flavor marries those with a light candied grapefruit peel. Finishes with a light sweet butter cookie. Pretty good beer.

Tap at Alehouse Palmhof. Pours hazy amber with a medium head. Aroma is strong ripe banana, almost obscene in its sweetness. Low apricot. Body is heavy, very sweet and boozy. Lots of banana, only slightly pulled back by lively carbonation, over a sticky texture. Lingering sweet banana palate. A strong Weizenbock, and a good one at it.

Bottle from Macon Beverage Outlet. Hazy yellow with white head and plenty of carbonation. Banana and citrus nose, and sweet tart malty taste that lingers. Soft palate from the carbonation. A little sweet but very sophisticated.

On tap at Weihenstephaner, Hackescher Markt, Berlin. Pours cloudy yellow with a foamy, lasting, white head. The aroma contains wheat, yeast, overripe fruits, clove and spices. It tastes light to medium sweet and medium spicy bitter. Alcoholic finish, fizzy carbonation, creamy texture. I prefer the regular Hefeweißbier.
