Typical English ale, characterised by the amber colour, delicate bitterness and the full malt body. Carefully selected hops lend the beer the aroma of resin, roses, grapefruit peel, and gooseberry traces. An intense, bitter opening gradually changes after sipping, and leaves behind a drier malt flavour with notes of caramel and dried fruit. The beer experience is completed by the dark amber to garnet colour and the fine silk foam.

Pours a clear amber color, topped with a small off-white colored head. Mild grassy aroma with some mild caramel alter on. Taste is somewhere between soury and bitter with a bit of a sweet start. Not bad. Fresh feel but with a quite metallic and herbal aftertaste. Drinkable.

500ml bottle kindly shared by djoeye. Firm, bubbly off-white head over a bright amber coloured body. Fair lacework. Nice bottle design with a golden neck. Smell of leafy hops and mild caramel malts. Malt-fruity flavours of brown malts, almond, and leafy hops. Bittersweet ending. True to its name, not quite there though (Tromsø 09.10.2015).
