Typical English ale, characterised by the amber colour, delicate bitterness and the full malt body. Carefully selected hops lend the beer the aroma of resin, roses, grapefruit peel, and gooseberry traces. An intense, bitter opening gradually changes after sipping, and leaves behind a drier malt flavour with notes of caramel and dried fruit. The beer experience is completed by the dark amber to garnet colour and the fine silk foam.

VARIETY OF HOPS
Northern brewer, Styrian golding, Centennial

Bottle at Csak a Jó Sör, Budapest. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is light malt hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light hop bitter palate. Light to moderate bodied with average carbonation. A fairly average pale ale and fine for a session in the summer.

(Bottle) Amber colour with dense, beige head. Malty nose with notes of caramel, treacle toffee, toast and orange peel. Malty, slightly fruity taste with toast, caramel, toffee, dried fruit, soft malt and a gentle spicy bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well balanced, possibly lacking something extra. Quite enjoyable.

3rd Oct 2014: 500ml bottle shared with the wife in Pivovarsky Klub, Prague. Our last beer of the day, thought an English Pale Ale would be different while in The Czech Republic. Poured a good looking mahogany brown with full white head. The aroma was of mild malts and caramel. The flavour is semi-sweet with those same malts and caramel hints from the nose. Slight bitter finish but all in all a very good example of a style I know very well. This could stand shoulder to shoulder with many of it’s counterparts in the UK and not be out of place.

Bottle, 0.50l, courtesy of CanCrusher. Clear deep amber color with large rocky off-white head, good lacing and soft visible carbonation. Pleasant aroma of citrus, mild caramel, herbal hops and abit vinous. Taste starts with light sweet caramel malt, follows by fresh fruitiness and some grassy sourness. Mouthfeel is a bit spicy, while finish is moderate bitter with decent aftertaste. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. A bit too bland, but still very drinkable ale...

Beautiful looking, but bland. High fluffy head on light amber body. Initial malty aroma, taste is bread, and weak. Nothing on the palate, overall mouthfeel is watery. Easy to drink but unfulfilling.
