Light smoke aroma. Pour is dark opaque with a very thin head. Generic heavy and sweet taste, but not complex. Finishes a bit more hoppy with charcoal. Not a very good porter.

[Bottle] Deep ruby, almost black colour. Thick head. Smooth toffee and chocolate aroma. Soft mouth feel. Sweet liquorice flavour, bitter finish. A simple yet solid Porter.

1 PT. .9 OZ bottle, batch number 1/12/06 (guess that means brewed on date). Pours extremely dark brown, a very thn looking beer, a bit of clarity at the right angles. Decent medium light tan head, average lacing. Moderate aroma of sweet corn sweetness and light chocolate. Taste is better, doesnt have that cheap corn and full of lightly roasted cocoa. Finish is light cocoa sweet. A light bodied baltic porter, low biterness, and average mouthfeel.

500ml bottle - Pours very dark brown with a fingerβs width head. It has a fairly mild dark roast malt aroma. A tasty roast malt flavor is complemented by some good chocolate notes. Medium to full bodied, it finishes smoothly. The lagers Iβve had from Russia and the former Russian republics were bad, but they do seem to know their porters.

Medium coarse light beige head. Deep, dark red body, barely translucent. Faint, milky aroma with licorice and marzipan notes. Taste is light, sweetish licorice with roasty notes. Bitterish, coffeeish afteraste. Alcohol notes. Decent. (0.5l bottle.)

Bottle 0,5l. Deer, deep red. A tanned creamy head leaving filigrees in the glass. Faint aroma of chocolate and roastedness. Roasted and malty flavour. Sweet bitter aftertaste with a fruity and chocolate-filled ending. Thanks to Rune for bringing it all the way from southern Finland.

500ml bought at Alko in Finland and sampled with Finn. Beige foam leaving nice "Kirchenfenster" on the glass. Dark-reddish brown in colour. Sweet malty aroma with notes of coffee. Complex roasted flavour of dark, dried fruits, toffee and biscuit. Dry finish. Pity that I only had one bottle, because this was a very moreish porter (A Koff Porter came to our rescue) (25.10.2006).

(Bottle 50 cl) A dark, reddish brown beer with a bubbly, beige, dissipating head. Aroma of roasted malt and dried fruit. Fairly solid body, Starts rather sweet, but you quickly get the sense of some burned malt that also leave a fairly distinct bitterness. A very solid Porter. 300706

Bottle. Had this both in Riga, and now brought back from another Baltic excursion. A dark brown beer with a decent sized tan head. Has the usual chocolate and malty notes that you might expect, but much smoother and far better than the Utenos Porter that I tried it alongside, bit smoky as well. Jolly decent beer.

Bottle. Nice chewy smell of raisins and molasses right out of the bottle. Pours a deep brown under a thick brown head, wafting the smell of brown sugar and cola through the room Taste is a little fruity, with a bit of dark roast malt astringency following. Touch of chocolate, molasses or rum. Despite its low price and doubtless roundabout way of getting to my glass, it is indeed a nice, robust, well-made porter.
