Alle Jahre wieder… Schon im Hochsommer wird dieses wunderbare feinherbe Bockbier eingebraut, damit es nach 4 Monaten Reifezeit rechtzeitig zur Weihnachtszeit erhältlich ist. Als starkes, vollmundiges Bier passt es besonders gut zu den klassischen Speisen der kalten Jahreszeit.

# 2742; 2/2022. Aroma of grains, flowers and honey. Clear gold body; persistant thin white head. Honey, flowery, grainy, hay, medium body, lower carbonation, slightly mouldy finish. Sweeter heller Bock. 0,5 l, bottle, shop, Pilsen (Bohemia, CZ).

Gekauft kurz vor dem Lockdown und pünktlich am Ostermontag getrunken. Auch wenn ich Böcke generell nicht besonders mag, finde ich viele Zwickelböcke ganz gut. Diesen alletd7ngs nicht. Er hat eine schöne dunkelgelbe trübe Färbung und verströmt einen angenehm getreidigen Geruch. Mit persönlich ist es aber zu hart. Nicht nur zu bitter sondern auch etwas zu dumpf und brutal. Vielleicht soll das so sein, aber ich finde es nicht so toll. Da gibt es ausgewogenere.

Rb backlog. Caramel, bread, nuts, grains, sweet honey. Medium sweetness, builds up and becomes quite full, medium, dusty bitter finish. Medium to full body with pearly carbonation.

330ml bottle at home. BB 10/2015. yellow hazy color. small white head. smells malty sweet, light dried fruits, plums, citric, light grapes, light spices. full body, medium carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes malty sweet, honey, corn, flowery, some citric notes, grass. finishes bitter-sweet with citric and sweet notes. decent but a bit boring.

Bottled (from Alko). Golden colour, mediumsized white foamy head. Aroma is bready malts along with some slight grainy and herbal notes. Flavour is a nice bready and grainy maltiness, but also having surprisingly much hops and wooden notes to it. Still hides the ABV rather well, which means it could do with even a slight bit more to give it a slight alcohol kick as well. A bit on the mediocre side.

Deep honey-golden color, small white head. Sweetish fruity-malty aroma, light grainy alcoholic notes too. Medium to full-bodied. Malty backbone over its sweetish alcohol, green apples and grains. Aftertaste is "clean". Light bitterness in the finish too. Strong it is.

Bottle from Billa, Kittsee. Deep Golden color with medium white head. Sweet malt and honey in aroma. Sweet malt, honey, fruits. Alcohol is hidden. Good.

Bottled 330ml. -from Auchan Budaörs. Clear golden coloured, minimal white head, some notes of cereals in the nose. Sweetish malty, light caramel and cereals with grainy/herbal notes in the finish. Some alcohol presence in the finish but all in all poor Weihnachts brew.
