Older can found in my stash, still showing good. A dark brown colour with ruby highlights, a frothy light mocha-coloured head, decent stay and lacing spots. Roasted malt aromas with the dates adding a little fruitiness, some light coffee and chocolate notes. The mouthfeel is smooth, slick, a little oily with some nice drying finish that cuts the thickness - so not syrupy. Good flavours of roasted barley with some molasses touch, mild coffee, hints of dates and cherries. I was expecting this one to be really sweet, so was putting it off, but it goes down quite nicely.
