From the first moment you pour this black-brown specialty it reveals a rich, creamy crown and moreish mocha-chocolate aromas. A composition of distinctive malts and the finest black oats give this velvety beer its irresistible character. Rich, complex and smooth, it rounds off with a long and intense finish.

75 cl bottle. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and breadish. Bitter, toasted and dry to bitter chocolate. Bitter and lingering roasted malty finish.

(Bottle, 0.75 l, thanks Senka, 20150926) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had chocolate, something metallic and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were chocolate, malts, grass, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste had chocolate and bitterness. A bit harsh brew with added chocolate. Not impressive.

Bottle (shared by Senka, thanks!). Pours dark ruby with beige head. The head stays for a moment. Aroma is malt, chocolate, roast, and some salt. Bottle. Aroma simple chocolate roasted malt. Almost clear brown darkish colour. Simple taste, chocolate, roasted, fruity. Simple, good.

Bottle from Werckmeister, many thanks. Dark brown color with medium white head. Caramel, chocolate in aroma. Taste, chocolate, roasted malt, caramel.
