City Lights is our new series of canned sour ales to be released seasonally during the warmer months of the year.
This edition is conditioned with pineapple and tangerine. The result lends notes of tropical fruit and citrus that compliment the refreshing acidity of the beer. The perfect companion for July adventures.

Appearance: glossy copper to yellow color with a quarter finger of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet chunky pineapples and pulpy tangerine sweetness, light tangerine rind bitterness
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas together in a sweet to sour to tart sort of way; finishes with the pineapples and tangerines
Texture: light to medium bodied, leaning to being a sipper, not as much smoothness as other modern fruited sour ales but that's okay, as I believe I understand this well enough and see that the sour & tart pucker factor does show up in a nice way
Overall: I say pretty good fruited sour ale I would have again.

On tap at Foam, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out an earthy, fungal character, with some stone fruit pith, and kind of a coriander note. Flavour is along the same lines, with earthy stone fruit, coriander and earth. I'm not getting much from the fruit. Seems a bit obscured and confused.
