25 cl bottle. Nice red color with pink massive pink head. Artificial cherry candy aroma. Taste like sweet cherry syrup. This is too much of the sweet stuff, not balanced with the sourness of a true classic kriek. Medium body and with too much carbonation. Long, not so very pleasant aftertaste. This beer gives kriek a bad reputation, more like an alcopop.

First rating - Initial Rating Date: 4/9/2006, UPDATED 7/20/2006Bottle "Timmermans Kriek Lambic" which is very much NOT the same as Timmermans Tradition Kriek Lambic, I’ve tried them next to each other...Anyhow, here’s my rating of the beer "Timmermans Kriek Lambic".Extreme bitter almond and marzipan in the scent. Deep red color, pink head. Sweet bitter taste from cherry seeds. Low hops bitterness. The "Tradition" however has a very sour scent ans taste, with no bitter almond (cherry seed) flavor at all.8/5/8/3/12=3.6Rerate25 cl bottle as "Timmermans Kriek Lambicus" at 4% ABV. BB 17/06/16, sampled on December 10, 2014.Clear reddish brown color, fairly big and lasting pinkish head with plenty of lacing on the glass. Sweet, sugary, acanned cherry, cherry juice, almond paste scent. Sweet, light tart, cherry skin, cherry hard candy taste. Artificial cherry juice aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, no bitterness really.6/4/6/3/12=3.1

Bottled. Colour is something between amber and ruby red, mediumsized reddish white head. Aroma is strongly cherry, with notes of almond. The same in flavour, surprisingly sweetish for a Timmermans, but some sourness also exists. In my opinion very lovely and refreshing! A bit watery palate, but doesn’t ruin the whole.

Bottled. Red colour, decent white foamy head, which disappears almost completely. Bitter cherry aroma. Metallic, bitter flavour with hints of cherry. Sweetish bitter finish. Leaves mouth sticky. I prefer Lindeman’s Kriek.

Bottle Clear, red body. Pink, creamy head. Good lace. Fruity aroma (cherry syrupe). Sweet flavour and not very interesting.
Earlier Rating: 6/12/2004 Total Score: 3.4
Pink creamy head, mostly diminishing. Deep red body. Cherry aroma (sweet-sour), lightly horseblanket-aroma, some yoghurt too. Lightly sweet, lightly acidic initial flavour. Lightly sweet (short) finish. The flavour is not very well-balanced.

Test vom 10.11.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,11,9,9,7,8 - 8,90

Tasted under the moniker Delhaize Krieken Lambic Huge cyclamen-pink head, very frothy; deep dark-red beer, totally clear. Sickly sweet cherry-gums nose, on a vague citric background. Sweet, and rather watery sweet cherry flavour, artificial if anything. Again a tad citric acid, and some vague woody impression. Light and watery, with some diluted syrup, very disappointing palate. The cork would be the most traditional item about this bottle, weren’t it for the fact that it is capped by a standard crown cork. Talk about a poor show. Earlier Rating: 1/15/2005 Total Score: 3.4Deep dark red with a faint amber shine; pink, very fine head. Spicey fruitnose, not very outspoken, syrupy in the end. Soft sweet-sour, bit citric, bit lactic. Faint sweet artificial cherry taste, but neither off-putting, neither cloying. Slight acidburn, quite dry, more fruity in the aftertaste. Not too bad in its kind, some concurrents are much worse. Just not very ’traditional’.
