A dark clear brown ale with a thin off white head. A pleasant butterscoth aroma, with vinous notes, very nice and pungeant. In mouth, a sweet candy malt, caramel and peated notes. Nice warming alcohol, even though the blackboard indicated a scotch ale (wouldnl’t it be a scottish then?). On tap at the brewpub, Sept. 13 2008.
