on tap at the brewpub. To me this was your typical amber ale, and in la barberies case a typical watery amber ale. I couldn’t find hot peppers in here anywhere. Mind you it seemed to warm in my throat about a couple minutes later, but that could also have been heartburn.

tap at the brewpub - Pours amber with a very mild, malt aroma. It tastes of sweet malt with assertive spiciness. The pepper heat isn’t overwhelming but it’s definitely there, especially in the finish. Other than the peppers, there’s just a very average, light bodied amber ale here.

Hazy amber with a thin white. Malted aroma with light perceptible hot peppers. In mouth, grainy malt with light hops, sourish and light peppers in mid-tasting, in back of throat. Light watery bodied. On tap at Vices Versa, Summer 2005.
