Visuel : Couleur : noire. Apparence : opaque.
Arôme : Malt rôti, moyen de chocolat noir et de café, légèrement fruité (cerises, figues) avec notes de houblon herbeux et de vanille.
Goût : Entrée de bouche : Léger goût fruité (figues, traces de cerises noires) avec des notes de vanille et quelques traces de tabac. Une dominante maltée de grains rôtis et de chocolat noir est présente ainsi qu’un moyen goût de café avec une légère amertume houblon herbeux et floral. Des notes d’alcool sont également perceptibles.
En bouche : Corps : moyen. Effervescence : moyenne. Texture : moyennement crémeuse et aux notes huileuses. Finale : longue et un peu sèche, moyennement amère de rôti, de chocolat, léger de café et de houblon herbeux ainsi qu’avec des notes alcoolisées.

This brewer seems most at home with belgian styles, so this was a little weak, but still pretty tasty - dark ruby, nearly black beer - a very roasty IS, with strong coffee bitterness and some heavy notes of tobacco - alcohol is warming, but not overpowering - there is an almost berry-like fruitiness near the finish, but the for the most part the beer is heavy on the coffee and bitter chocolate - pretty nice.

A deep dark stout with a thin lacing moka head. More nuts than chocolate in aroma, with notes of burned grains. In mouth, a good chocolate malt with roasted nuts, coffee, sweet raisins, and some german or balkan styling, dryish . Medium bodied. On tap at the brewery, Nov. 3 2007.
