Poured from a 16oz can. Aroma is fairly nutty with a moderate amount of roast and light chocolate. A really nice, malty character dominated by nuts and roast with some toasted bread. Pours a clear brown with a touch of burnt amber and a thin tan head with light retention. Light lacing and small legs. Flavor is also very malt forward with a lot of nuttiness, toasted bread and some medium light roast. Faint chocolate notes and light caramel character. Light bitterness and faint hop character. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall a really nice brown porter with a really great malt character. One of the better brown porters on the American market. Not as much chocolate character as I would expect and it could use a touch more English hop notes.

Bottle. Deep orange-red body, thin-medium clumping head. Light woody nose, acidic and thin with cocoa powder notes. Thin body, woody with chocolate/cocoa. Weak and unchallenging.
