Visuel : Couleur : ambrée. Apparence : claire.
Arôme : Caramel, léger de fruits et de houblon herbeux
Goût : Moyen de céréales, léger de caramel, léger de houblon herbeux avec des notes fruitées, notes métalliques.
En bouche : Corps : moyen. Effervescence : moyenne. Texture : moyennement crémeuse azotée. Finale : moyenne, légèrement amère de houblon herbeux avec de faibles traces métalliques
En Résumé : Simple. Bien.

Pretty foul tasting red. Cream ales really shouldn’t be so astringent. Pours red with good creamy head and lacing. Aroma has malt and metallic astringency. Had this on tap at Dundas location.

The server explained to me that this one was not so much carbonated, which seems to be the difference with their normal "Red Cream Ale" which has nitro. Asked to see if it was cask, but not sure of the answer (or if he knew what I meant). This one is the June beer in Ottawa. Pours a clean deep amber colour with a mild creamy beige head, average retention and a little lace. Light fruity aromas, but surprised to not smell hops or anything else. Not much carbonation, smooth mouthfeel. Fruity mild malt flavours with a quick finish and a tad of hops in the aftertaste, creating a very light dryness. Nothing bad here, but not much attack (brewed for the mass market). Gets better as you go. Would be a good session red ale. Note: seems like the Toronto peeps have the nitro version (judging from these past reviews).
