Bottle at home. Aroma of roast, coffee, citrus, weak tropical fruits, hint of chocolate, hoppy notes. Flavour is light sweet and moderately bitter. Finish is dry. Enjoyable if a bit light Black IPA.

330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with little ruby red glimmer and huge, fluffy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Herbal, slightly floral, minimally soapy, hoppy aroma, cautious dark malty background with a touch of dark chocolate. Taste is roasty dark malty, chocolately, slightly sweet, bitter hoppy overtones with a cautious resinous and piney touch, hints of gosseberry and blueberry; chocolately finish, lively carbonation.

Draught@YNWA, Kolding. Brown colour with mediumsized off-white fluffy head. Aroma is fruity, some slight toasted notes along with toffee and some mild alcohol as well. Flavour is very similar in a good balance. Quite pleasant, with the toasted notes not coming in too strong to ruin the nice fruity notes of it.

Tap at Uiltje. Dark brown with creamy light beige head. Lots of marihuana, orange, dry roasted malts, ash, some peach and lychee underneath. It’s really dominated by dry roasted flavors and dank hops with soft underlying fruits. Light sweet and light to medium bitter. Under medium bodied with watery feel. Nice beer but it’s too watery.

Draught @ You?ll Never Walk Alone, Kolding. Aroma has syrupy bready tones and resiny hops. Also licorice candy. Flavour has licorice, moderate resiny hoppiness and sweet malty tones. Sweet and delicious, the hops are not as strong as in Black IPAs usually, and that suits me very well.

Towering, fluffy pale yellowish head over chestnut coloured beer. Melanoidins, black cardamom; dry, but not very overpowering hops. Dry flavour, bit coffeish, very mildly bitter/hoppy flavours. Again black cardamom peel; bit peppery. Maybe medium bodied, gives a bit thinnish impression. There’s better in this segment. Giovanni, how do Parmigiani pronounce "Donkere Vader", pray? My bottle claims only %

Tap. Italian Job, Chiswick. Clear, dark chestnut brown. Bubbly, grey beige head. Big on the roast, chocolate malts. Dark fruit. Piny hop. Bit of dank. Bit of resin. Smells great. Drinks smooth, quite rich, soft dry, and with a piny bitterness that rises. Finishes light bitter. Drying close.
