A golden pils with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet biscuit malt with Saaz hops, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, sweet fruity biscuit malt with Saaz hops, grapefruit, light oxydation, still solid for 2013 beer.

Bouteille 600ml. De couleur dorée et claire. Nez de grains de malt sucrés, de houblon herbeux (herbes fraîches,), floral et épicé (poivré) avec des traces fruitées et d’alcool. Moyenne-mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen ainsi qu’une texture légèrement huileuse. Goût moyen-léger amer de houblon floral et légèrement herbeux (une amertume présente en arrière-goût toute la gorgée) accompagné d’un moyen goût épicé (poivre) ainsi qu’avec des traces fruitées et végétales lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût de grains de malt pâle légèrement sucrés et croustillants puis en finale l’amertume de houblon s’accentue légèrement en se faisant plus herbeuse, assez asséchante et aux notes terreuses en plus d’être appuyé par un léger goût d’alcool. Post-goût moyen et sec, moyennement amer de houblon floral, herbeux et aux notes terreuses avec un léger goût d’alcool.

(on draught at The Grad Club, Kingston ON, Feb 26 2013) Pours a clear gold with a small, fine white head that faded without lace. Aroma is dominated by grassy, somewhat pungent Noble hops with just a little bit of grainy malt able to break through, very clean hop expression. Flavour is again very hop-forward, herbal, floral with a bit of fruitiness over a slightly sour Pilsner malt body, grain coming through mid-palate. A bit of sweetness counteracts the strong bitterness at first but the beer finishes quite dry, strongly bitter and slightly resiny hops, some alcohol heat as well. Mouthfeel is pretty full and slick for a lager, carb fairly low. Definitely a pilsner, definitely not your crisp, refreshing and fairly light pilsner, in a good way.
