Brewed with respect for the brewing traditions of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, this Vivat Blonde is a “Bière de Garde” beer. This means that it has a longer maturation time than a "classic" beer between brewing and sale. Vivat Blonde is brewed exclusively with pure barley malt and is brewed the old-fashioned way, with skimming of hop flowers carried out by hand and in an open fermentation tank. EBC 13.

Bottle. Pours hazy straw with airy white head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with notes of flowers and touches of hops. Sweetish flavour of fruit and malt, with estery and hoppy notes and flowery touches. Bitter aftertaste with some acidic touches. Reasonable.

Varsin kirkkaan kullankeltainen olut kohtalaisen pienellä, mutta tiiviillä hieman pitsiä jättävällä vaahdolla. Tuoksu Bellerosea aavistuksen voimakkaampi, viljainen ja hiivainen. Maku ruohoinen ja viljainen sekä aavistuksen sitruksinen. Keskitäyteläinen suutuntuma, kuiva ja katkerakin loppumaultaan, mutta viimeisenä tuntemuksena suuhun jää kuitenkin pieni vetisyys. Asteen verran Bellerosea parempi, mutta ei juuri muuta.

Clear pale to medium golden colour, large frothy off-white head, mostly lasting, good lacing. Fruity aroma, peach, tangerine, orange peel, perfume, floral. Taste medium sweet, light bitter, fruity notes. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste mild bittersweet, spicy notes, nice, refreshing.

Bottle from Auchan. Hazy dark golden with fluffy white head. Straw, a bit earthy, caramel malts without it being very sweet, grassy and soft herbs. Taste is light sweet with light tartness. Medium bodied, quite dry feel. Decent stuff.

Less well-known bière de garde, rating from old notes. Sticky, rocky, off-white head, hazy peach blonde colour with minuscule bits of yeast in it. Flowery aroma of bread dough, unripe peach, flour, hazelnuts, dandelion, orange peel, raw potato. Doughy and starchy character, spicy phenols, refreshing citrus accent, light nutty maltiness; mildly bitter finish with floral and leafy hoppiness but something phenolic too, a little bit wry.

Lett tåkete gylden brun med høyt tykt hvitt skum. Gjær, malt og litt syrlige epler. Rund lett floralsk smak med lett bitter avslutning

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes orangegelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch fruchtig säuerlich. Geschmack malzig bitter, fruchtig.
