Bouteille: Deep golden to orangey, floaties visible, stable off-white foamy layer; sweet malty to caramelly nose with a cough-syrupy to herbal-hoppy background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, astonishingly light bodied for a beer of 7.5%, but at least pretty soft; a bit drier in the still sweet and cough-syrupy finish. Quite decent, but a bit too sweet and very close to the minor american samples…

(bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, golden coloured hue with floaties and a short off-white foamy head. Yeasty, phenolic spicy aroma with mildly fruity hops and notes of citrus, grapefruit. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a tame carbonation. Slightly bready cara-malt character with spicy and mildly fruity hops; sweet-bitter cara-malty and mildly spicy and subtle hoppy finish. Just okay, but definitely not one of my favourites. 24.IV.15

330 ml bottle, as Zwönitzer India Pale Ale, from the Danish importer. ABV is 6.8%. Malts are pale and pilsener, hops are Citra, Simcoe, Cascade and Amarillo. Cloudy deep golden to orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma of fruity and spicy hops. some woody notes too. The flavour is medium sweet and quite bitter, fairly distinct hops throughout, also some woody notes. The balance is not entirely perfect. Not the best IPA I’ve had, but not the worst either.
