12oz can from Boise Co-op. Dark brown pour, fizzy beige head. Aroma is roasty, coffee, sweet, notes of chocolate. Taste has sweetness up front, right before the bitter roast kicks in. Nice mouthfeel with some lingering bitterness.

12 ounce bottle thanks to Mike. Pours a cloudy dark amber colo with a medium tan head. A sweet nose of caramel and big malty fruit. An odd fruity, coconut, caramel, some mocha flavors. Ok. Not a porter. Dry.

Brown, small lasting beige head.Earthy carmel malt nose.Sweet and toasty, somewhat thin. Decent but this is NOT a porter, more of a brown ale

Pitch black coloured body with a small tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and roasted malt. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong roasty flavour with a very nice taste. Aftertaste shows some coffee and chocolate with an overpowering malt. Overall, a great beer - definitely nice to try! I sampled this beer on draught at Henry’s 12th St Tavern in Portland, Oregon on 09-September-2006.

On tap at Flying Pie Boise. Pours out a hazy dark amberish topped with a small tan head. Aroma of light sweetness, some light hops, and some roast. Tast of light roast and some nuts. A little bitter hop end. I liked this one.

Draft @ Bittercreek Alehouse: Pours a dark and murky reddish brown with a large, creamy beige head. Tremendous amounts of lacing. Aroma of hops, rye, and roasted malt. Tastes like an IPA and a Porter spawned a rye based strong ale. Roasty, florals, bready, and rye notes. Not quite what I expected. If I hadn’t watched the server pull the TG Porter taphandle I would have argued about it being what I had ordered.

Concordia Alehouse on draught, Black with thin head. Dark chocolate with chocolate notes. Aroma of a GOOD cup of coffee. Full mouth with a very lingering finish. This is a wonderful porter. I wish it was bottled.

On Tapat Kahootz Nice very dark brown wih thin tan head. Some dark roasted aroma but served a bit too cold to fully experiance this. Dark roasted and slightly charcoalish, a little chocolate note and fairly astringent. A bit thin and modstly hopped. Nive overall flavor, the late sharp bitterness/bite was the other set back for me. Tasty.

Draft. I am not sure why this is called breakfast porter because I assumed there would be coffee notes here. Not so. Nonetheless, this was a good porter, not great. Malty aroma with a slight metallic tinge. Taste was of sweet malts with a slight fruit overtone. Only the slightest hint of coffee. Bitter aftertaste, though not lasting. Pleasant palate.
