Appearance - 3 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 3 | Overall - 12
Can. Hazy deep golden body. Frothy white head, diminishing. Aroma of toasted grain, clove, mustiness, light banana. Sweet and lightly bitter to start, but finishes moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety/syrupy texture, lively carbonation. Flavors of spice, pepper, clove. Straddles the line between a saison and a Belgian golden ale, leaning more toward the latter. Just too heavy/syrupy/spicy. Too bad.
