Museum of Art's upcoming Matisse: Life in Color exhibition, Sun King presents Biere de Fauve. Biere de Fauve was brewed in the French Biere de Garde style. Flavors of peach, pear, apricot, banana and a hint of allspice work hand in hand to create a "wild beast" of a beer, rich in complexity, and worthy of extended contemplation.

Draft. Golden body with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of spice, pear, apple, bubble gum, earthy hops, banana. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture that turns syrupy, moderate carbonation. Taste of fruits and bubble gum and dough all muddled because of the heavy sweetness. More an overly sweet, American tripel than a biere de garde. Smells good.
