Poured from the tap. Hazy yellow with small white head. Brett and vinous notes. Quite nice.

Wanted to try this because I thought “I ride past Poplar Grove all the time.” Actually, I ride past Cedar Creek all the time, but I confuse those two wineries like you wouldn’t believe. Pale and has some haze. Thin head. There’s just a touch of the barrel character and a hint of brett. On the palate, starts sweet, then a bit of tartness and brett come into play, and finally vinous sweetness.

On tap at The Bakery, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out light wine barrels, a touch of funk, and bready malt. Flavour reveals light wine barrels, gentle brett funk, and bready malt. Nice vinous notes that combine well with the brett. Good stuff.

Okay cloudy yellow body with modest foam, smells of tart wood but weak wine, like sweat from a fat kid, lemon juice run through a dish rage. Flavour is bright chalky yeast, lemon notes, funky hay. Dry and steely aftertaste. Still an enjoyable meld, just the right amount of funk and lager.
