Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Black colour. The aroma is almost fruity, typical for some stouts; the roasted character dominates, but luckily there is some residual sugar; it's a bit metallic too. Straight Imperial Stout. Overall, solid effort.

16oz shared with Alex at Andrey's. Appearance: dark brown with a tan head. Aroma: lots of phenols, roasted malts, some herbal notes. Taste: along the same lines, moderately sweet, quite roasty. Overall: not bad, but it's too bitter for me.

Jet black brown with a decent light brown head. Nice cocoa notes and some molasses. Thick and rich, bitter and viscous dark chocolate.

473 ml can. Pours black with huge dark tan head. Aromas of oily chocolate syrup, sweetened coffee, graham cracker (yep), and slick roasted malts. Rich, oily and sweet flavors follow same but with a bitter chocolate and coffee finish. Very nice

Deep brownish black body and good foam, sharp oily coffee on the nose, hints of chocolate syrup. Flavour is sharp oily coffee, roasted vanilla, burnt wood, molasses. Hugely dry and great oiliness, no abv present. Great stuff.

473mL can, pours black with a medium tan head. Nose is full of deep roasted malt, a little molasses, earthy coffee, and a touch of dusty cocoa powder. Flavour is wonderfully rich, with deep, complex roasted malt, caramelized sugar, and roasted espresso beans. That roasty character is sure impressive. Deep and immensely drinkable. One of those imperial stouts you could drink litres of.
