This 6.8% IPA showcases one of our very favorite trios of Pacific Northwest hops: Citra, Mosaic, and Amarillo.
In Livewire, we add Mosaic during the boil, Citra Cryo in the whirlpool, and then a big mix of all three for the dry-hop. We’ve always found that Amarillo, with its distinctive notes of orange blossom and sweet citrus, draws out similarly orange citrus qualities from Citra. And then Mosaic does magical Mosaic things: tropical fruit, blueberry, pine, and bubblegum.
As with the last batch, we brewed Livewire with pilsen malt and a hefty charge of malted oats and flaked wheat. The result is one lush, fluffy beverage.

Growler from solidfunk shared with friends. Slightly hazy light golden color, decent bubbly white head. Earthy pine and bits of lemony citrus with a hint of earth. Fair amount of bready maltiness ties this all together nicely. My first beer from Ocelot, pretty impressed!

On tap at Spacebar, pours a hazy, bright yellow with some soapy, white head. Nose is bright and zippy, lemon, grass, straw, soap, a little catty, some tangerine. Flavor follows, lemon, some parm rind, grass, soap, again a bit catty, light resin. Finishes dry, bright and refreshing. Very well done and a super easy drinker.

4 oz pour on draft at Spacebar. Mostly clear straw yellow with off-white head. Aromas of floral, pine, citrus. Tastes of grapefruit citrus, floral, pine. Medium body with a dry finish. Pretty good.

Tap into a snifter showing moderately filtered neon yellow with sparse white foam. The nose shows moderately intense sharp pine. The palate is light bodied and well carbonated. Grassy with moderately intense flavors of pineapple. Moderately sharp IPA bitterness.

Ceetainly the best hops on the menu tonight at Ocelot. Massive pine and some peppery lemon like the best option for Kraft Dinner pimpin. Hazy yellow pour. Bitter finish. Great stuff.
