Cidre Triple is created using a selection of bitter apples, inspired by the techniques used to make the famous long keeping dark beers. Its bitterness and fruit flavours, its alcohol strength and fine amber colour all combine to make Cidre Triple an unusual product of strong and individual personality. An must to offer to lovers of small scale specialist beers, full of character.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Clear golden with visible bubbles, small white head, light depot. Dry bitter apples, tannins, alcohol, tart apple juice, dry earthy, dry apple peel, green leaves, almonds, green unripe apples. Light sweet and tart, almost medium bitter. Medium bodied, over medium dry and some alcohol. Interesting to try, but not super good.

Un très grand merci à Vincent pour m'avoir offert cette bouteille. Cela faisait un bout de temps que je ne m'étais pas essayé au cidre, et cette bouteille était parfaite pour moi. J'ai toujours eu un faible pour les cidres fermiers qui ont ces accents terroirs. Ceux-ci s'accompagnent il est vrai souvent d'une astringence marquée qui ne plaisent pas à tous. J'étais donc, le temps d'une dégustation au plein cœur du bocage normand. Mais quand vous boostez quelque peu ce type de cidre pour lui faire atteindre 11 ° vous obtenez en plus un cidre racé aux accents de pommeau. L'ensemble est merveilleusement servi par un excellent équilibre, l'alcool est parfaitement intégré sans que le cidre soit trop sucré, et à la fois une petite acidité et une petite amertume sont présent pour donner un peu de fraîcheur. La corpulence est moyenne mais la longueur est quant à elle très honorable. En ce qui concerne le visuel, le blond orangé très légèrement voilé, est tout à fait sympathique pour un cidre. 29 December 2019. At Dok Brewing Company. Shared with Anke! Pours clear yellow with a thinning, white head. Aroma of yellow & green apple, lemon zest, wheat, white grape, straw, faint urinal. Taste is light fruity sweet, apple & grape, quickly turning medium wheaty sour, funky, lemony, note of straw; medium fruity bitterness builds up, bitter grape mixed with apple peel, wood & oak, hay. Dry, tart finish, somewhat woody, lingering lemon peel, apple, mouth-puckering almost, some warming white wine alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Not really my style, I'd say it's an acquired taste as well.

Clear golden colour, dissipating white head. Fruity aroma, apple, apricot, loads of banana. Light bitter light sour flavour, apple, banana. Dry. Finish apple. Indeed resembles beer a bit. Nice! (from 75cL bottle @ the Ciderie)

Cloudy Light amber colour, no head. Nice aroma of apples, farty, sugary, apple skins. The mouthfeel is flat, a bit oily, thin, some apple skins, but quite simple and with short finish.

75cl bottle (2013). Pours gold with a light mist, thin bubbly coating that recedes. Light fresh apple aroma. Taste is fairly light and drying with little of the 11% alcohol evident. Some light apple fruit present, but lacks an expected complexity. I expect this is partly due to the age, being 5 years old, so I'll try to find a fresh bottle to re-rate. Still, a pleasant gentle cider with faint tang on the finish.

Thnx to Franck ! Pours clear blonde, no head. Smell is intense, natural, full. Funky apples. Taste is very full, funky apples. bit sweet, some skins. Complex. no sign of 11 ABV, drinks like a 5% cider. Impressive !
