Recht trockener Beginn mit erkennbarem Alkohol. Zurückhaltende Apfelnoten, die sich nur wenig steigern. Trotz der schweren Alkoholigkeit vergleichsweise süffig, leicht herb. Okay. 8/9/8/9/11/8

Deep golden liquid looks somewhat viscous, but is otherwise clear with no head and a very small amount of bubbles visible.
The nose dosent smell terribly different than most Dupont ciders. Lots of pepper, dry appleskin and various other phenols, but with significantly less lactic character and a bit more rich honey and light alcohol warmth.
The flavor is certainly an odd one. Sweet, somewhat, up front, but immediately transitioning to an almost grainy, alcohol-heavy dryness featuring vanilla, light applesauce and moderate to moderately light tartness. There’s somewhat more richness/concentration of flavor than in the Bouche, but nowhere near what I’d expect/desire for this abv. It’s pretty much like the Bouche Brut but with a lot more gratuitous alcohol. I don’t get it.

Purchased this about a year ago and just seem to never get to drinking it. Well finally pooped it open, or Pruf did anyway. Apparently 2012 bottle. The cider is missing all that funk and tartness I expect from Dupont. Slightly dry and brown green apple skins. A little fecal. Surprisingly dull and not what I wanted or expected from this cidery.

Bottle sample at the last tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks zvikar. Clear pale golden. Pleasant green apples aroma. Flavor of bitter green apples, very dry, with a sourish note. Well-carbonated. Not too alcoholic for 11%. Nice.

Purchased a bottle at Warehouse Liquors Chicago. The pour was different in two separate glasses because of the yeast. Common sense (light clear pour for first 5 oz. much more hazy afterwords) Drank this real warm, aroma is ... Flavor is old Appel juice with a astringent aftertaste. Lingering bitter juice hints. Champagne dryness in the finish, very dry.

Clear and golden with champagne like I bubbles. Really sharp acidic character with a lot of old apple and sweet with cherry. Taste is nice. It’s yeasty with a sprite or 7Up taste. Most of the fruit taste is old but it has an old world taste. I also get some ginger

Small bottle from Bushwacker. Pours a clear dark copper color with a small white head. A rich sweet fruity nose with sweet apples, wood and huge apple pie. The flavor is almost entirely dry, tart, green apples, sawdust, quite fizzy, earthy dusty tart finish. Good.

Bottled. Slightly hazy yellow colour, minor head, which disappears very fast. Aroma is sulphur, some wood, mild sweet apples with some slight acidic and cheesy notes as well. Flavour is apples, some vinegar, mild sulphur as well as some alcohol sweetness as well. Feels a bit thin even though being high in alcohol.

Bottled. A hazy golden cider with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of apples, wood, and vinegar. The flavor is sweet with notes of apples and wood, leading to a dry and tart finish.
