330ml bottle. Golden amber colour, white foamy head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of citrusy hop resin. Taste is malt caramel with spicy and fruity citrus and pine, and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Quite drinkable IPA.

Bubbly white head stayed well on a hazy dark orange coloured body. Fruity, hoppy aroma with spicy hints. Medium bodied, sharp on the palate, well carbonated & a clean finish. Bitter pith, grapefruit, citrus, Belgian yeast & long tangy finish.

33cl bottle from Albert Heijn, Amsterdam Centraal Station. A slightly hazy amber pour with a loose white head; subdued tropical fruit aroma; sharp, immediately bitter taste that’s both fruity and woody; and a clean crisp dry bitter finish. Very good.

Gylden brun klar med høyt offwhite skum. Lukter sitrus, fersken, sydhavsfrukter og animalsk lukt mot kjøtt. Middels fylde. Lett bitterhet, blomster, sitrus og noe fudge. Kort.

Jopen’s take on the modern IPA, from a bottle at Antwaerps Bierhuyske. Thick, dense, creamy, off-white, cobweb-lacing head over a misty peach blonde beer with ochre-ish tinge. Aroma is unfortunately incapacitated by an unmistakable bacterial infection, which - mixed with the Mosaic - results in impressions of sour oranges, wet earth or mud, dust, spoiled milk and egg yolk, through which the delicate mango- and passionfruit-like hops still pierce, but obviously this is not the way it was intended... Same for the taste: fruity and estery, more so than is acceptable for an IPA, hints of sour passionfruit, unripe gooseberries, fermenting apples and tangerine, spritzy carbo (too much so), very earthy yeastiness throughout, ’dirty’, over a bready malt sweetish middle - the sweetness evidently ruined by the sourness of the infection. Citrusy and mildly tropical aromatic hoppiness is still there in the end, but it too gets lost in this dirty, souring (even very lightly vinegary) infection effect. Too bad, Craftmember told me he drinks this regularly and deems it an excellent IPA, but in this condition, it is of course not representative for what it intends to be. I probably should not rate it because of the infection, but I have nothing else to base my opinion on so this rating is inherently biased - but I will certainly revisit this when I come across it in prime and uninfected condition.
