From tap at De Markies, Leeuwarden. Roasty aroma with liquorice, touch of ash, some milk chocolate. Rather sweet with a roasty bitterness. Body is medium. Bit too heavy on the liquorice and lacks creamy lactose.

Spiced milk stout. Pours a very dark (but not quite black) colour and a beige head with reasonable retention. Aroma's of star anise and some sweetness. Retronasal it's herbal/spicy, light sweet, light roasted, chocolate. Flavour is moderate sweet, spices. Medium bodied, good carbonation. Pretty nice.

Draft at Het Rootz Lentebierfestival ‘19. Brown with a small tan head. Aroma of spice, cinnamon, raisins, overripe dark fruit and rum. Flavour is above moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Sampled at Rootz lentebierfestival. Black with dark beige head. Spices up front with some ginger and curry, roasted malts, almond milk, light berries, dry earthy notes and soft licorice. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with weird slick and almost astringent feel. Weird.
