Inspired by the Finnish brew known as Sahti, this is a variation of this ancient beverage. Brewed with Mecca Grade Vanor and rye malts, aged Cascade Hops from Goschie Farms, and our own yeast culture and house sour wort, Sahati gets resin and citrus notes from spruce branches harvested on the brewery property.

Bottle @ Home. Pours hazy burnt orange with a small offwhite head. Aroma of malt, light sourness, spices, herbs, spruce, lemon. Flavor is light sour, malt, yeast, herbal, spices, spruce, little lemon, little wood. Thin to medium body, soft to average carbonation, dry and light acidic finish. 120120

Frothy white fair mostly diminishing head. Amber colour. Light malty and hoppy rosemary aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate.

Bottle, 9.11% Unclear amber with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, herbs, spices and lemon. Flavour is malt, caramel, herbs, spices, lemon, citric, little sour, pine, medium sweet and a little dry.

Bottle @ Saxo tasting. Unclear orange with a small white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, heavy spruce, herbal and tart. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate acdic. Dry and moderate acidic finish. Has absolutely nothing to do with a Finnish Sahti. 110120

Bottle @ Højbjerg tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich sour lactose acid, fruits, malt and has a nice long sour finish. Doesn't taste like a traditional sahti, more like a sour/wild.

Bottle, 8.81%. Almost glowing amber with an off white head that's soon at the rim. 3+ Aroma of medicinal, lemony spruce, scorched sugars, bread, berries. A swig reveals lots of honey and sourness. Whilst it's really quite sour there's a softness and breadth to the palate I really liked. Some peppery edge to the spruce at the end. Not all that rustic but sophisticated behind what might seem a bit confronting.

Tap. Amber color. Plums, citrus, floral notes in the aroma and flavor. Sweet but also fairly sour, Anis. Pleasant.

750ml bottle @Luppolo Station (Rome). Ambrata scarica, lievemente torbida, schiuma avorio media, molto persistente. Al naso esplosione balsamica con notte di sottobosco, aghi di pino, frutta matura. In bocca è vinosa, lattica, tart, citrica, equilibrata e di classe, alcol inesistente. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Evocativa, complessa, strepitosa.

Flaska från Beer Republic. Smutsdisig orangefärgad med vit krona. Massor av gammalt Cola-tuggummi, citruszest, pissoartablett, rengöringsmedel, ingefära, viss skogighet och granskott. Rolig kombo, alkoholen känns inte direkt av. Bra syra, djup och bitande. Kul.
