The NZ tap takeover week has started today at Takanoya. I’m taking this chance to try something from Funk Estate. Funk Estate Pink Drink IPA 5.2% An opaque gold with a sharp funky semi-acidic nose. Medium bodied with a sharp carbonation. The taste has an earthy peppery Brett leatherish funk with mild hop candies citrus notes. It kind of makes me think of a Belgian IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 10 | Overall - 8.5
Taster at GABS Auckland 2017. Pours orange. Grapefruit juice, grapefruit zest, lots of floral character, rose, numbing peppercorn stuff. Tingly and a little numbing on the tongue. A little bitter but with so much juicy grapefruit too. Delightful.
