Boatrocker Pilsner is a New World Pilsner. It's our little nod to the amazing pilsners from Northern Germany...with a little love from New Zealand hops. We crafted this beer with only the best German pilsner malt, then loaded it up with some choice Kiwi hops (including late boil hop bursting & dry hopping).

375ml can from Monster and Beer, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Poured an unclear yellow golden colour with a thin white head. The aroma is grainy, light citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, fresh, light grassy, lemon citrus, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. An Aussie twist on a classic European style.

330ml bottle - a slightly hazy pour, pale gold colour with a small frothy white head that settled. A toasted malt aroma and floral hop aroma. Moderately sweet taste, toasted and sweet biscuit malts and sweet herbal hop flavours. Clean and crisp and not too bad.

330ml bottle into schooner glass. Lo-fi aroma of malt and distant grain. Amber beer, high fine carbonation, thin white layer of bubbles on top. Slightly prickly mouthfeel. Fairly neutral flavour, finish is fruity with a little malt. Not very grainy for a Pils but bloody easy to drink. Very hot Sydney night (11pm 26°C), this beer is gone!

On tap at the brewery tap. Pours pale gold. Bubblegum, synthetic grape, touch of sulfur, very floral, sage herbal thing. Pretty interesting for the style. Nice crisp finish. Good.
