From tap at Grimm Artisinal Ales, New York. Tart with an aroma of pumpernickel bread, spicy rye, some tart fruits. Light body. Nicely tart flavour.

On tap at the brewery. Pours slightly hazy brown. Lemon, pepper, bread, sharp, citrus. Medium body. Nice.

Draught at the source: pours clear very light brown. Aroma is pumpernickel bread and dark fruit. Taste is lightly sour. A hint of real kvass. Some fruitiness. A false kvass.

A hazed brown kvass with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light rye notes, light ground cherry, light Brett, light lactic notes, very nice. In mouth, a nice tart sweet fruity mix with light cereals, very nice and smooth. On tap at brewery.
