Certainly some sourness, not sure if it’s supposed to be there, but it isn’t bad. The underlying beer is dry and light bodied, crisp and medium smoked malt. Unique. Bar oorlam hamburg

Draught @ the brewpub Aroma has acidic tones and some malt. Flavour has acidic tones, green apple and mellow smoky tones. Also some wort typical to smoked beers. Feels slightly contaminated.

Tap at Oorlam. Amber color almost clear massive offwhite head, persistent. Smoky smell. Flavor of raisins, citrus, candy Orange, old furniture and burnt wood, bacon. Taste kinda salty. Smoked peat is there but not too invasive leaving this quite drinkable. Taste sweetish and light sour. Finish a bit funny with peat and lemon.

Tap at Kaapse 5th anniversary. Bit hazy darker golden with not much head. Smoke, caramel, bready, bacon, soft herbs and grass. Not too smoky actually, some other stuff going on here as well. About medium sweet, bitter and bodied. Solid medium bodied with oily feel.
