Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7.5

Both Aromas and flavors have fresh coffee dark malt lightly on the sweet side with some bitterness that grows towards the end. Carbonation is a touch aggressive there's also some spice in there and a couple of other odd flavors. A hint metallic in the Finish. Okay body. Good enough beer.

Not bad, a bit shallow for an imperial stout, but extremely quaffable for 8.2%. Milk chocolate, caramel, doughnut, roast, and coffee all rest atop an espresso bitterness and lingering char notes. Anise and coffee cherry show up in the fade. Never grows too sweet, but can’t quite gain the complexity the style needs. Still, not too shabby.
