Month old pint can A: Poured a tall pillow of tan head atop a clear deep mahogany brown body. Great retention and spotty lace. S: Rich freshly brewed coffee with light notes of cream, toffee and brown sugar T: Powdery cocoa and bitter coffee give way to faint stone fruit that lingers into the roasty bitter chocolate finish. Lightly boozy. M: Smooth powdery texture with a fair amount of soft carbonation. Lactose seems very low so not too slick. O: Very nice in all respects, especially the subtlety of lactose and alcohol.

Can from Bine & Vine. BBF 20 Mar 2020, but it's spent its life hiding in the back of the beer fridge. Pours dark brn/blk with a huge cream beige/tan head. Aroma of coffee and smooth dark, slightly burnt malt. Approaching full bodied. Creamy mouthfeel. It's lightly sweet, has nice coffee and some firm chocolate notes. Maybe lactose. Bitter from burnt malt I suspect. Quite nice.

Can from Whole Foods: pours black with a beige head. Aroma is coffee and quite a bit of it. Taste is sweet, mildly bitter, coffee loaded stout. Lingering coffee and cream sort of taste.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a slightly opaque (sixty per cent) brown glow with a thick, three centimetre tall light brown head on top. Aroma of pure chocolate, roasted malt, pitted fruits, brewed coffee, earth, walnuts and bunches of lactose. Medium-bodied; Rich chocolate and earthy, nutty flavours dominate with a lot of roasted malt, tons of lactose and still a good deal of alcohol noticeable towards the end, with a decidedly strong bitter brewed coffee finish that hits all the right notes. Aftertaste is rich and deeply sweet with some caramelised sugar notes, but way more chocolate, pitted fruits and especially lactose throughout. Overall, a great milk stout that is slightly on the stronger side, but has tons of flavours and complexity in a great way. Great to sample right now - no aging necessary! I sampled this sxiteen ounce can, purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 17-December-2019 for US$2,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 17-December-2019, the same day, with no aging at all.

Pour is a brown-ish with a huge foamy tan head. Aroma is a real nice almost intense coffee with a little bakers chocolate as well. Flavor is again a intense in your face coffee with plenty of roast and more bakers chocolate. I'm glad I had this early in the evening because the coffee is strong here and my keep you up for awhile. This is the best Victory beer I've had in a long time.
